Upcoming: Fashion Show and Terracycling

Two big events coming up from the Sustainability Team:

Fashion Show

The Sustainability Team will be hosting a Fashion Show with the donated apparel from the last month’s clothing drive. The Fashion Show will be April 23rd from 1-3pm in the Healy Family Student Center Great Room

Representatives from 50 Georgetown clubs will act as models for the fashion show with entertainment from different campus performance groups. Farmers’ Market and university vendors will provide food. The goal of the fashion show is to highlight the impact fashion choices have on the environment, as well as encouraging people to donate clothes rather than discarding them. All clothes will be donated to KEYS for the Homeless.

New Terracycle bins have popped up in the lobby of every freshman dorm, with more coming to the Bioethics Lab and the MSB Tech Center. With Terracycle bins, you can recycle materials that should not be thrown away, such as printer ink cartridges and cosmetic products.

If you have any questions or would like to model in the Fashion Show, contact Ben Baldwin at bdb57@georgetown.edu.
